The support structure of a cabinet is its face frames. They form the door and drawer openings, and can be made of wood or metal. The easiest way to attach them is glue and clamps. For both pieces to be held together, a strong glue is used. You can use mechanical fasteners instead of clamps. However, you will need to fill the nail or screw holes before installing the frames. Here are some helpful tips for assembling your face frames.
Face frames provide strength to the front of a cabinet
To make your cabinets look more professional, you can add a face frame. You can use them to line up cabinets in rooms that aren't perfectly square. When cutting out your face frames, select one that is approximately 1/2" smaller than the desired cabinet size. Gapping can be used to square up cabinets. Once you have established the dimensions of the pieces for your face frame, order them. Then cut them on the tablesaw. Be sure to cut accurately while you are cutting the pieces so that they look nice. Once you have assembled the pieces, attach the bottom shelf to the wall using 1-1/4" pocket hole screws.

They make drawer and door openings
Face frames are used to create openings in cabinets, drawers and doors. They are typically made of two materials, wood and metal, and can be glued or screwed into place. It is easiest to attach the frames using glue and clamps. A tight glue joint creates a strong and permanent attachment. If clamps are too difficult, mechanical fasteners can be used. Fill in all nail and screw holes.
They can either be made of metal or wood
A face frame is an assembly of vertical and/or horizontal pieces. It is located on the front end of the case. It includes rails and inner or outer stiles which extend up to it. The wood glue used to attach the frame and carcass is wood brads. Wood glue is recommended for securing a frame while it dries. Wood brads should be used anywhere there is a space to attach the frames. Using wood putty on the holes is a good idea if you want to make them invisible.
They come in a variety of widths
The cabinet's design is dependent on the face frame. You can usually build a frame with a width of 3/4" to 2". Face frames typically consist of one-inch thick wooden and are assembled using a screw joint. You can choose to have your frame beaded or square. You have the option to choose how many openings you want. Talk to a Customer Services Specialist to discuss the options and make the right choice for your cabinet.

These can be attached using PVA glue or pocket hole joinery to a bag.
PVA glue or Kreg's Pocket Hole Joinery are both effective methods to attach face frames onto a case. The frame can be secured to the case using either 3/8" dowels, or plugs. If you want to get the best results, make sure the frames are made of wood from a different species. For a more long-lasting alternative, you could use melamine coated particleboard.

How To
How do you accurately measure wood?
We have several ways to measure wood. We use a digital ruler (a tool to measure distances), laser level (used for leveling your work surface), and bubble level (used for levelling your work surface).
Two jaws can be opened and closed on a digital caliper. The one jaw holds the object to be measured, while the other measures distance between them. The digital caliper is great for measuring small distances like thicknesses of wood.
Laser levels emit an infrared laser beam that projects a straight line across the floor. A red dot is created by the laser. You can check if the surface is level by looking down at the line. For large surfaces, laser levels are the best way to check their accuracy.
Bubble levels look similar to a compass. The center of the device contains a bubble. As long the bubble is not in the middle, the device will show you whether the surface of the object is level. Bubble levels are great for checking the accuracy and precision of smaller areas.
